Privacy

Effective October 6, 2026. Short version: we count visits without identifying you, Gumroad handles every purchase, and we never sell your data.

Who we are

Mac Steel publishes this site (therealmacsteel.github.io), the Mac Steel social accounts and the Mac Steel digital products. Questions: macsmacpro@gmail.com.

Visiting this site

Visit counts. We use GoatCounter to count page views, referring sites, browser and device type, and country. It keeps aggregate counts only, does not store your IP address or browser string, and does not let us identify you.
Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub processes technical data such as IP addresses to serve and protect the site, under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Fonts. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load, under Google's privacy policy.
No advertising pixels, no cross-site tracking, no forms on this site that collect your details.

Buying or downloading a product

Checkout, payment and delivery run on Gumroad. We never see your card details. Gumroad shares your name, email address and what you got with us, so we can:

deliver the product and any updates to it;
answer support questions;
send occasional emails about related Mac Steel products and community invites. Reply "unsubscribe" and we stop.

Gumroad's own privacy policy covers the data Gumroad collects. If you join a community space we invite you to (for example Discord), that service's terms and privacy policy apply there.

What we never do

Sell or rent your personal data.
Share it with advertisers.
Use it for anything not listed on this page.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep buyer emails while you are a customer and delete them on request. Email macsmacpro@gmail.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you; we answer within 30 days.

Children

This site and our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this page changes, the effective date above changes with it.
